We offer a complete line of Commercial, Personal, Life and Disability Insurance and we represent a large selection of insurers for our clients and our team of 45!

We are seeking a Team Leader, Personal Insurance to join our leadership team.

This position works in cooperation with the Manager, Personal Insurance and assist leading the Customer Service Brokers in providing superior service to clients, in a professional and timely way in support of Cambridge Insurance Brokers Ltd., Mission Statement.

In addition, the Team Leader, Personal Insurance will be working in cooperation with the management team and others in the office.

The successful candidate will have strong Personal Insurance technical skills to support the team in helping our customers.

Key responsibilities

  • The Team Leader will assist the Customer Service Brokers with review, follow up and resolution of any difficulties that may arise with any client complaint issues, company or others.
  • The development and implementation of Personal Insurance policies, procedures/workflows and related manuals will be the responsibility of the Team Leader, as directed by the Manager of Personal Insurance.
  • The Team Leader will act as a Personal Lines Customer Service Broker, as required.
  • Provide update of Insurers, coverages, and general industry changes to entire staff.
  • The Team Leader assists in the hiring, training and development of Customer Service team members. Through ongoing mentoring and training, the Team Leader continues to assist in the development of the service skills of the Customer Service Brokers.


Post-secondary education or equivalent
5-10 years or more insurance industry experience, with extensive Personal Insurance experience
Minimum 2 years working in a Supervisory Role/Managing people is an asset
CIP, CRM or CAIB designation preferred or in progress
RIBO License
Knowledge of Brokerage Management Systems (PowerBroker)
Excellent customer service skills and conflict resolution
Strong customer focus; understand the needs of the customer (internal and external); strong communication and people skills
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities successfully
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
